Breaking news from KCS: Our September registration for hands-on swimming lessons is opened on our web portal! Sign-up now to secure your swim spot
Dear KCS Families,
We are delighted to announce that we will resume hands-on swimming lessons without parents in the water come September. The new published regulations state that any business that is open and provides in-person teaching or instruction must enable students to maintain a physical distance of at least two metre from any other person who is not in the same household as them except where necessary for teaching and instruction that cannot be effectively provided if physical distancing is maintained
Since swimming lessons are a key life skill and by nature instructional, we can follow these new regulations. All of our team members will continue to wear face shields at all times (in and out of water) as well as respect the rules described below. As always, the safety of your kids is paramount. To ensure that this new lesson format is safe for your kids and for our team members we have: (1) Adapted our lesson plans to reduce the amount of physical contact between your kids and our AEs; (2) For now, we have decided to continue only offering private and semi-private lessons;(3) Properly configure our big pool to facilitate physical distancing and installed plastic barriers between lanes in the small pool.
Given that there will be fewer people in the pool as parents will no longer be in the water, we will be increasing the number of lessons offered at any one time from 3 lessons to 5 lessons. Please be advised that the length of our lessons will now be 25 minutes in order to better accommodate enhanced cleaning practices and timed entry for lessons. During these lessons your kids will receive 100% active learning time as they will be working directly with our AEs. Finally, we will be adding more lesson spaces in the afternoons from 3:00pm – 7:00pm during the week. We have a limited amount of spots available, please register by clicking on this link.
Finally, please note that we will also continue with all of our existing COVID-safety measures such as: (1) Face-shields for all team members;(2) Enhanced and more frequent cleaning procedures including the sanitization of the equipment and teaching space after each lesson; (3) Timed entry into lessons; (4) Reduced number of parents at the pool (one per household);(2) Directional signage and contactless payment.
Thank you again for your continual trust and support in our local business.
