KidsCanSwim Will Be Re-Opening on Tuesday February 1st, 2022

We are thrilled to announce that following the Government of Ontario’s announcement, KidsCanSwim Kanata will be re-opening its doors on Tuesday February 1st, 2022 and that KCS will be operating at 50% capacity in accordance with the Re-Opening Ontario Act.

As previously announced and in order to adhere to the highest health and safety standards, we will be re-implementing our 1 parent/guardian per child rule. Therefore, if you are currently registered in our baby’s program only the parent/guardian participating in the class can be in our Centre which includes our viewing area in the lobby. We will continue to ask that swimmers arrive at the Centre 5 minutes before their swimming lessons with their bathing suit under their clothes as change rooms will be reserved for swimmers leaving the Centre. The change rooms will remain open at all times for guests with babies.

In addition to the above restrictions, KidsCanSwim continues to be committed to offering a safe environment for all guests and team members a-like. All existing COVID-19 safety measures will remain in place including but not limited to:

• Frequent disinfection of high touch/common areas;
• Mandatory mask requirements for our support team members;
• Appropriate PPE for our Aquatic Educators;
• Mandatory vaccination policies for guests as well as team members;
• Staggered start times;
• Adapted teaching techniques to reduce face-to-face contact between Aquatic Educators and swimmers.

Prior to your next lesson, we strongly encourage you logon to your parent portal account to review your registration details such as the time/date of your lessons as well as your payment information. Please note that if you have an outstanding balance on your account it must be paid via your parent portal account prior to coming to your lesson.
