Province-Wide Forced Shutdown/KidsCanSwim Will be Reopening on February 1st, 2021
Dear KCS Families,
In light of today’s announcement from the Province of Ontario, KCS Kanata must once again shut down our Centre. This does not affect our previous plan to close for the holidays which starts on December 22nd, 2020. Though the lockdown is scheduled to end on January 24th, 2021 we will be re-opening KCS Kanata on February 1st 2021 to ensure that our families receive a full month of swimming (4 lessons) in February.
As you may know, KidsCanSwim is a proudly Ottawa-based and owned business. We opened our first location in Kanata on January 4th, 2020, less than 1 year ago! During our first year open, we have been forced to shut-down our business 3 times. Nonetheless, we’ve persevered and have been incredibly touched by the ongoing and tremendous support of our 300+ families, many of whom have been with us from day 1. Thanks to the resilience of our amazing families and the dedication of our exceptional team, we are incredibly proud of the quality of swimming lessons we’ve provided and of the KCS community we have built together. Despite everything, we will always look back fondly on the year 2020.
To keep things simple and easy for you and your family, our plan is to defer your January swim times into February 2021. You will maintain the same day of the week and time for your lessons as you currently have. Therefore your new start dates will be as follows:
– If your lessons were on Mondays, your first class will start on February 1st
– If your lessons were on Tuesdays, your first class will start on February 2nd
– If your lessons were on Wednesdays, your first class will start on February 3rd
– If your lessons were on Thursdays, your first class will start on February 4th
– If your lessons were on Fridays, your first class will start on February 5th
– If your lessons were on Saturdays, your first class will start on February 6th
– If your lessons were on Sundays, your first class will start on February 7th
As our January session will be deferred to February, our usually automatic billing system will occur on the last week of January in preparation for February. This means that your monthly tuition will be added on your account on January 26th and your payment will be due before your first lesson in February or as part of the automatic payment which will be processed on February 1st, 2021. If you have already paid for January lessons, the fee you paid for January will be used for February lessons.
